Badger Mill Creek Conservancy (BMCC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring, protecting, and sustaining the natural areas along the Badger Mill Creek corridor in Verona, Wisconsin. Originally formed in 2020 in response to impacts from local sewer construction projects, BMCC has grown into a formal 501(c)(3) organization established in 2026 through the Dane County Parks Volunteer Program.
BMCC focuses on long-term stewardship of key natural spaces, including Eastview Heights Nature Sanctuary and Military Ridge Reserve, as well as surrounding Dane County natural resource areas. Current efforts include habitat restoration, trail rebuilding, stormwater improvement support, and ongoing conservation work through community volunteer events led by a dedicated steering committee.

Over the past five years, numerous individuals, organizations, and community partners have worked to protect and improve the Badger Mill Creek area. Our five-year update highlights conservation, restoration, habitat, water quality, education, and other efforts throughout the watershed.
