Upcoming Events

The Friends of Badger Mill Creek volunteer their time each year to help provide native restoration and maintenance (revegetation/invasive species control) along the Badger Mill Creek Environmental Corridor. To continue to maintain the work that has been done along this corridor, the following events will be held. Volunteering is an opportunity to learn more about the corridor, the restoration process, as well as an opportunity to get to know your neighbors. Your help is appreciated, thank you!.

  • Garlic Mustard Pull
    May 22, 2023 (Monday) from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
  • Parsnips Removal
Dates to Be Determined in June – July
  • Invasive Tree and Brush Removal
There be an open workday on December 2, 2023 (Saturday) from 9 to 12, at the Oak tree line, located just west of the Military Ridge Reserve, within the Badger Mill Creek Corridor.  With the direction from Dane County Park and the City of Verona, we plan on removing invasive shrubs and trees like box elder, buckthorn, brush, and piling brush.  Please meet at the entrance of the Military Ridge Reserve walking path, located at the 300 block of Glacier Ridge Trail, Verona.  Please check here or on Facebook for any updates on this work day.
